The EMR system is developed to integrate ambulatory, inpatient & community-based departments.

SmartCare™ EHR Software is very robust with many prominent features, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), Treatment Plan Documentation, customizable group and individual client templates, Calendar, Electronic signatures, and Progress Notes. The Mental and Behavioral health-specific EHR software is designed to make clinical documentation fast and easy. It also reduces the amount of data entry required, making the interface intuitive and easy to use by clinicians.

Streamline’s SmartCare™ EMR software can manage allergies and drug interactions, fax orders, respond to refill requests, and track orders and lab results.

SmartCare™ EHR software by Streamline offers a fully integrated Practice Management (PM) software solution. It features a digital dashboard that carries information such as a list of services that need authorization, services for the day, messages and alerts, pending documents, and productivity graphs, making it easy for healthcare providers to simplify their daily operations. With just a few clicks, practitioners can document patient information, create progress notes, and discharge summaries. SmartCareMCO also tracks the patient’s information and eligibility, pays claims, and authorizes services.

The SmartCare EMR software is ONC-ATCB certified and has met all requirements as a complete ambulatory and inpatient system under Meaningful Use for MU Stage 1 and MU Stage 2.

Streamline’s SmartCare EHR software package includes a built-in messaging system that lets users communicate with each other with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance, which is necessary for the practices to ensure the privacy of Patient Health Information (PHI).

Since 2003, Streamline has been dedicated to helping organizations improve the quality of patient care. For medical practices specializing in Behavioral Health and those looking for an enterprise solution, SmartCare EHR Software could definitely be a worthwhile option.

Pros: SmartCare EMR Software makes it easy to manage patient records and case notes. The claims processing connection is especially helpful for our clinic, and the initial setup was straightforward.

Cons: The pricing can be a little high for smaller clinics. More customization options and integrations would also be helpful and could make the software even more useful for our day-to-day workflow.

Verdict: SmartCare helps us keep electronic health records and case notes organized while simplifying the claims process. This makes our daily workflow easier for both our clinicians and staff.

Pros: I like how SmartCare focuses on behavioral health workflows. It is been easy to teach our new staff because the interface is pretty clean once you get used to it. The reporting tools are flexible and helped with our compliance work.

Cons: Sometimes it runs a bit slow during peak hours. It could really use a mobile version that actually works well.

Verdict: Overall it is been a helpful tool. Not perfect but it gets the job done and has not caused major headaches. Support has been responsive most of the time.

Pros: It is okay for documentation and scheduling. It is decent for case management too. I like that it’s designed with behavioral care in mind.

Cons: It feels outdated. Lots of clicks to do simple things and reporting is not as intuitive as I hoped.

Verdict: It works but I would not say it is great. You can make it work if you are patient and have a good IT team but it needs upgrades to be competitive with newer platforms.

Pros: Honestly not much to say here. I have had trouble since day one. The software is clunky and feels like it is from 2008. Customizing anything is a nightmare.

Cons: Very laggy. Tech support takes days to respond and workflows just do not make sense for how we operate.

Verdict: I regret pushing this system to our admin team. It slows us down instead of helping. We are already looking at switching to something else.
