MatrixCare is a cloud-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Software by ResMed. It is designed for the long-term care industry i.e. for senior citizen nursing homes and home care services. All the features relevant to the long-term care industry are provided by this Electronic Health Records (EHR) Software System including meal/time tracker and claims management etc.
Simple diet guides that show diet-related information i.e. needs, preferences, and consumption help the nutrition management program users track their daily intake of nutrition. Thus, a menu can be devised to manage the daily production of food.
The integrated marketing module provides major marketing functionalities. Leads can be tracked, reports can be generated, and referrals can be managed through this marketing suite. Besides marketing, the clinical and resident management features allow practices to record different residential incidents, create task plans for caregivers, and automate all the service plans.
The budgeting tool facilitates operational as well as financial tasks that show revenue versus expense data in real-time.
Customer support is available over the phone. The software is supported by different operating systems including Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 8, Windows 2000, Mac OS, and a Web browser (OS agnostic).

Pros: MatrixCare EMR software works well for our home health and hospice organization because it brings clinical documentation, scheduling, billing, and patient management into one platform. The mobile charting is one of the features our field clinicians appreciate most because they can document during visits and continue working even when internet connectivity is limited.
Cons: The biggest issue for us is customization. Some documentation templates and workflows cannot be adjusted as much as we would like, which can lead to extra steps for certain types of visits.
Verdict: MatrixCare is a comprehensive post acute care EHR with strong functionality across home health, hospice, skilled nursing, senior living, and other care settings.
